Artist Xia Xiaowan - 3D paintings on glass.
Xia Xiaowan has been preoccupied for years with the problem of representing three dimensions on a flat surface. For him, the Western solution—with lines of perspective converging on a vanishing point—is powerful but inadequate. After much experimenting, he decided to approach the question from the opposite direction and build flat images into a three-dimensional one. He divides a picture into layers, draws each section in coloured pencil on a sheet of tinted glass, then stacks the sheets one in front of the other.

and all we did was skip rocks, and talk about the summer.
Had an amazing night with Amy, Matthew, and later on, Christino. We took a blanket, laid it beside the river and huddled together on our backs, stared at a pungent orange sky from the glow of the city, and made out shapes from the clouds dimly blocking the moon. I felt homesick, knowing this won’t be here to stay, but also lucky to just know them, and be in their company. I know this will be a new adventure, but I can’t help but feel a bit saddened.
On a happier note, the best friend is coming in a few days, which means my going away party is right around the corner! T-9 days until I hit the road.
p.s. My phone screen is cracked. Trying to run a three legged race around rocks is never a good idea.

freckles are cute
Between sincerely asking to alter your drink due to a personal preference, and being a rude bitch. Next time, ask the barista, who shall remain anon, who doesn’t follow recipe to make your drink for you the way she did last time. P.s. How do you not notice your camel toe?
